With a few days left to the annual day, the students were in for a treat with them being an audience to the annual day dance drama rehearsal.

After having a relaxing day they had an interesting activity as audience to an inspiring movie that talks about sportsmanship spirit, confidence and potential.

The children had to simply watch the movie and learn from the movie, keeping in mind the spirit of leadership.

The students enjoyed the movie and being a popular movie, they were happy to watch it, making it a day of enjoyable events, away from Regular Craft activities.

    CCE ACTIVITY: BOOKMARK & PEN STAND MAKING


    With the Annual day nearby, the creative abilities are being utilised to let young minds create beautiful objects. The students had to make Pen stands and Book marks that could be creatively made in any format.

    What we saw was an array of crafts from newspaper pen stands, to Geometrical Bookmarks. Themes ranging from nature, to animals, with mirror work, ice cream sticks and paints.

    The children put their creative forces to good use and made wonderful collectibles. The pictures tell their story and enthusiasm.

      CCE ACTIVITY : NEWSPAPER MAKING

      The students today used social awareness topics like Gender, Politics, Sports, Society etc. ,to create their own newspapers and make use of advertisements, ideas of Facts in newspapers to make it interesting.

      This activity allowed students to understand social problems, Topics that are currently being discussed in the world and how they can use them to write articles in newspapers and shape thinking.

      It was an activity aimed at creating socially meaningful messages through a creative newspaper craft that the students fully utilised with beautiful illustrations and pictures.

        BORDER MAKING ACTIVITY : CCE : 18TH NOVEMBER

        The CCE activity today was making Bulletin Board Borders. To embellish and use the borders are a great way to enhance and give polish to any display board.

        The activity led to a variety of borders being made, curvy shapes, colorful strips, embellished, decorative and crafty.

        These borders can be displayed in any board for classes, corridors, house boards and events making them useful and well presented.

          EMOTICON MAKING- CCE ACTIVITY 17TH NOVEMBER

          An interesting expression based activity was done today, keeping in mind the various emotions we feel and experience.

          Emoticon making was the activity that combines creative ideas and feelings in cartoon format to display.

          Students made a variety of emotions ranging from happiness, funny, silly, academic, angry and sad emojis that they experience in school on various days.

          They enjoyed making smileys, cartoon faces, stick drawings and creatures that represented a range of emotions in a very creative manner.

            DOODLE MAKING-CCE ACTIVITY


            The activity today was an interesting doodle activity, where the students understood a new way to decorate alphabets and create a collage around it.

            The students ranged the doodles from names of students to events making GOOGLE doodles and occasion decorations like birthday and Christmas.

            Plenty of coloured and multiple decorative items were created by students who used their imagination in making unique doodling techniques and making a pretty picture in the end.

              Motivated and ignited minds are the key to realizing our dreams into reality. Success is the sum of small and consistent efforts, repeated day in and day out.

              TAFSians are highly committed in their efforts to reach the pinnacle of success in all their endeavors.  The preparations for the approaching ANNUAL DAY -2016   are in full swing.

              Each individual of the TAFS family is sweating hard and putting in their heart and soul to make the event a mega success.

              These sneak peeks into the Annual Day rehearsals reveal the zealous and enthusiastic endeavor being undertaken to spell magic and add to the glory of TAFS.

                ORIGAMI MAKING 

                The activity of the day was origami making, where the students were shown samples of paper folding and used methods of craft to make various animals, shapes and boxes.

                The activity is a universally liked craft that makes no use of scissors or gum to prepare decorative items and showpieces.

                The children are acquainted with the method and they were very nifty in making new items by only using colourful origami sheets.

                Some used multicoloured sheets, some used multiple sheets to fold and make beautiful decorations. A variety of origami themes were created from animals to portrait boats, planes, flowers.

                  Children's Day Celebration-TAFS Senior Wing

                  Carol Billamy, UNICEF Executive Director opined

                  If we want to overcome poverty and the instability it breeds, we must start by investing in our young people”. 

                  The Children's day celebration at The Air Force School began with unbound enthusiasm and glee! A special assembly was organised by the senior school teachers for the students . It left the brimming TAFSIANS spell bound! A perfect blend of music, parody, poetic recitation captivated the children and infused them with thrill and ecstasy! It gave glimpses of the joyful and surreal life the children lead! It narrated the joyous journey of a child, the countless memories they weave during their school life! 

                  Blue and white coloured balloons adorned the assembly area adding to the festive feeling and giving our students a visual treat! 

                  The students were given the soul stirring message of sculpting their lives with discipline and firm determination while enjoying the countless moments of celebration! 

                  Adding to the excitement and thrill of the students was the distribution of sweets in the morning post the assembly and the playing of some melodious songs during break time! The students rejoiced each moment. It left their spirits soaring! 

                  The day proved to be a fulfilling one for the students and teachers alike!

                  A child is a beam of sunlight from the Infinite and Eternal, with possibilities of virtue and vice- but as yet unstained.

                    Children's Day Celebrations

                    Children’s Day Celebrations - TAFS Junior Wing

                    The students of The Air Force School Junior Wing celebrated Children’s Day with great enthusiasm by partaking in various fun filled games. Each class, UKG to V enjoyed various fun games, along with their teachers, using balls, hoops, cones and other play equipments. Basketball and Kho Kho also proved to be a hit amongst class IV and V students.

                    The children also had an interactive session in their classes with their teachers on the significance of this wonderful day, the birth anniversary of the first Indian Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who was fondly called Chacha because of his immense love and contributions for children.  The day proved to be exciting for all, a reminder that the child in us need to be kept alive, always, for living a fascinating life!

                      National Education Day

                      NATIONAL EDUCATION DAY

                      The school celebrated ‘National Education Day’ on 11th Nov to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad .

                      Dr. Kalam was  a practical educational thinker and visionary who stood  for integrating ancient and modern educational ideals for the development of a balanced Indian society.

                      He was a scientist of international reputation, his direct contribution to the advancement of science and technology is unique and commendable. His scholarly research publications, articles, books etc. have opened new avenues for research.

                      To pay our respect collectively as an education fraternity, CBSE and the school systems are celebrating Dr Abdul Kalam’s achievement as part of the “National Education day”.

                      At TAFS the National Education Day was celebrated by undertaking various Educational Activities .The theme was “ Importance of literacy and education for the well being of the society”

                      ·         Class VI – Made Cards with slogans on the theme .

                      ·         Class VII – Essay writing

                      ·         Class VIII – Elocution ( Street Play )

                      ·         Class IX – Elocution (Public Speech)

                      Children participated in these activities with gusto. They also discussed about their intentions to help other children who can’t read or write. The activity gave them a platform to understand the importance of education and gave them motivation to have higher aspiration for academic excellence.

                       Education plays a great role in the life of everyone all through the life. It develops personality of the people, provides physical and mental standard and transforms people’s living status. It promotes the feeling of physical, mental and social well being by providing better life. Education is essential for nearly every type of job or career, and in many cases, education makes the difference between being able to perform a job safely and accurately and being unable to perform a job at all.

                      Education develops the people’s minds to a great level and helps in removing all the differences in the society. It makes us able to become a good learner and understand every aspect of life. It provides ability to understand all the human rights, social rights, duties and responsibilities towards country.

                        COMIC STRIP MAKING ACTIVITY

                        Today's activity involved, the creative task of comic strip making,and how various emotions can be seen,through dialogues.

                        Students created imaginative cartoons and characters in drawings to portray comic strip stories that they thought of.

                        The activity was aimed at themes of Humor, happiness, joy, respect and Helping others.

                        The students used a plethora of ideas to merge and make stories with a good ending, that made them think out of the box. The results were very creative comics that each child used.

                          Picnic - Worlds of Wonder, Noida

                          A day picnic to Worlds of Wonder, Noida, was organized for the students of class XII on 4th Nov 2016 (Friday). 172 students accompanied by 8 teachers went for this exciting day trip. As one of the finest entertainment destinations, our students returned home refreshed and rejuvenated after a day filled with fun, frolic and of course, adventure! It was a great way to reward their hard work. The ensembles of thrilling rides of Worlds of Wonder, Noida were the main source of attraction for our students. 

                          We started off from the school at 8.45am and reached Worlds of Wonder, Noida at 10.15 am. Our students had a gala time on the Unlimited International Rides (Rockin Roller, Fast forward, Big Beat, jumper, Download etc). A sumptuous lunch was served at 1.30 pm. We reached the school at 4.15 pm. 

                          The students had a great time and carried with them rich memories of joy, sharing and bonding with their classmates as well as their teachers.

                            Central Vigilance commission Campaign

                            The central vigilance commission, wishes to promote transparency and integrity in public life by involving school students in the approach against corruption.

                            The Air force school (TAFS) is a part of this educative campaign and raises awareness, using various events held at our premises to promote vigilance.

                            With topics of cyber governance to integrity of political parties, the students realised the importance of a fully aware and competitive committee to counter challenges of corruption and character building.

                            The students of TAFS were involved in a poster making event, elocution or street paly  with the Public participation in eradicating corruption and promoting integrity in nation. Students learnt the participation and mobilisation of students as leaders of change, towards vigilance in social causes.

                            The students presented creative poster with knowledgeable details of how right against corruption is used by citizens.TAFS fully supports the initiative of the government and supports fully the noble campaign towards creating aware citizens.

                              Brochure Making

                              The CCE activity for the day was Brochure Making on the topic “Cleanliness is the key to healthy living”. The aim of the activity was to teach students about the importance of keeping ourselves and our environment clean .Cleanliness is a good habit and it should be taught early to children. 

                              Informative and creative brochures were made. Children wrote cleanliness tips along with it various descriptive pictures were drawn. The activity was thoroughly enjoyed by students.

                              The activity proved to be a good way to inculcate the value of Cleanliness while having fun in the classroom.

                                Costume Parade - Class II

                                Mythology is a vital feature of every culture. A culture’s collective mythology reflects the religious experiences, moral and practical lessons.

                                The students of class II paraded in various mythological characters speaking about their history, strength, battle prowess and beauty. There were gods, demigods and legendary heroes. The stage came alive with Krishna, Radha, Saraswati, Ganga, Shani, Ram, Hanuman, Bheem, Shiv, Saint Narad etc. from Indian mythology while Fortuna, Cupid, Hera etc from Greek mythology shared stage space with them.

                                The children displayed their oratory skills and confidence as they spoke passionately about the character they portrayed.

                                  SPACE-A-TOON CRAFT CCE ACTIVITY

                                  The creative activity for the day was space a toon, which was an innovative activity based on planets and space.

                                  The students had the task of creating unique posters with planets and galaxy as themes. Students painted speaking planets, crafty aliens and spaceship as themes where various colours were used.

                                  The aim of the activity was to make students think out of the box in a manner, to use science inventions of space with creativity.

                                  The activity was done with great creativity and new ideas were created by students to put forward their knowledge of space and universe.

                                    DIYA DECORATION

                                    With Diwali, nearing the weekend, the CCE activity was based on  Diya decoration.
                                    The Diyas created by the students, ranged from vibrant color full diyas to sparkling painted ones showering the light of joy.
                                    The last CCE activity before Diwali, saw students making use of pretty objects, to decorate diyas and light them at home.
                                    The children enjoyed the Diya decoration with a variety of patterns made, from flower shapes, warli art in diyas, painted designs & motifs.They bid adieu to school for the Diwali weekend, with beautifully crafted Diyas and joyous memories of the day.
