CLASS V
DEBATE COMPETITION (20 JAN 2018)
An English Debate Competition was organized for the
students of Class V on 20 January 2018 in the school premises. It was held as
an Open event to encourage maximum participation and provide a platform for
public speaking. The topic of debate was – ‘Social Media: a Boon or Bane’. The
number of participants (70 in all!) was an indication of the enthusiasm and
confidence displayed by the students in expressing themselves on a relevant
topic.
The children presented their arguments with great
preparation and conviction. They put across interesting views, and points worth
pondering. The audience were kept engrossed in the lively activity and related
well to the issue of debate. A lot of information was shared and it helped
increase and remind all of the awareness of the right and wrong uses of social
media. The efforts of the participants were well appreciated and the most
