ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR CLASS-VII

With the commencement of the new academic
session 2015-16 the TAFS Family at senior wing warmly welcome the students of
Class VIIth as they transited from class VIth to the Class VIIth with zeal and
vigour.
An Orientation programme was conducted on
20th April 2014 from 8:30 a.m to 10:00 in the School Activity Hall.
The objective of the programme was to:
• Familiarize the students with the different
aspects of the senior school.
• Make them aware of their conduct in the school by
adhering to the rules and regulations of the senior school.
• Aware them with the facilities available at the
senior wing.
• Equip them with the essential components of CCE
which could provide them a new learning experience every moment of their stay
in school.
The session started by a warm welcome by
the Class representative followed by the orientation programme.
The session took place in two segments,
first led by the Class Representative of Class VII,Ms.Hira Irfan followed by
the second one on CCE that was led by Middle school Coordinator., Ms.Lomina
Rajiv.
The first segment highlighted the core issues pertaining to:
•
Conduct of students at school.
•
An insight into the importance of rules
at school.
•
Issues like cleanliness, abstinence from
using foul language and use of electronic gadgets within the school premises,
emphasis on being regular, diligence towards work were also looked upon.
•
Importance of Work Experience and Art
Education as part of our Co- Scholastic areas.
•
The emphasis on recently introduced
subjects - Life skills and Value education for an all round development of the
learner at school.
•
Familiarizing the students of the
drawbacks of Internet and social networking.
This was supplemented with an overview of the CCE System followed at
school:
•
Division of academic year into Formative
Assessment and Summative Assessment.
•
Division of Specifications pertaining to the
weightage and nature of Individual Activity, Group Activity, C.W and H.W.
•
Importance of active participation in co
–scholastic subjects was also elaborated at length.
The students participated in the
discussions with great enthusiasm and anxiously put forth their queries during
the session.
The orientation programme indeed proved
to be an enlightening experience for all the students and shall guide the young
learner of TAFS to soar high with flying colours with pride and perseverance in
future.
