THE EARTH DAY CELEBRATIONS – 22 APRIL 2016
The children of Primary Wing celebrated Earth Day on 22
April 2016, with great fervour and gusto.
The celebrations
began with a special morning assembly by the students of Classes II A and II B.
The little ones showed everyone how to protect the Earth and save its precious
resources. Later, the children participated in various activities, like
singing, short plays, drawing and craft activities, in their classrooms.
Class
V – ‘The Earth Day Promise’ - Students of Class V made plaques
depicting the Earth with a promising message to save it from all harm. They
personalised their plaques by adding their own faces, drawn by them, to the
plaques.
Class IV- ‘The Precious Drop’ - Students of
Class IV made beautiful posters to create and spread awareness about the
dangers being faced by Earth and how to take care of it. They emphasised on
conservation of water.
Class
III – ‘The Planet Pals’ – Students
of Class III took a pledge to save the Earth, “I will………..the Earth”. They made
a beautiful collage with their pledges written on clouds floating in the
atmosphere.
Class II- ‘The Earth is in My Hands’- Students of Class II made cut-outs of their
hand shapes and stuck them to little earths made by them to show their love for
their planet and gave everyone a message to care for the Earth always.
Class I- ‘The Smiley Earth’ – Students of Class I put bewitching smiles on
the little earths they made and added arms and legs to it to show how happy the
Earth can be if everyone cared for it. Their little earths were dancing happily
with lovely smiles!
Class UKG- ‘First Hand
Feel of Nature’- The
students went out on a nature walk, interacted with the school gardener,
watered the plants and also did leaf printing. Their endeavour to commune with
nature left them happy and vibrant.
The young TAFSians
pledged to look after the natural resources and continue their efforts in
making their Earth a wonderful place to live on and enjoy.
