CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA AT TAFS- 21 JUNE 2016

The international day of yoga was celebrated at TAFS on Tuesday, 21 June 2016, from 8:00 am – 9:00 am, in the Aravali Hall.

School students, NCC cadets, parents and staff members accompanied by their family participated with gusto in the morning yoga session. The session was coordinated and conducted by the school PE department with a few yoga experts who volunteered their services.

The session began in a solemn way with a prayer followed by different asanas. The asanas were demonstrated by a young yoga expert along with videos explaining the proper postures and steps involved. The video also explained the benefits of those asanas for maintaining a perfect balance of healthy body and mind. A few volunteers also took rounds to help the performers to correct their asana postures. The session ended with a pledge during which everyone resolved to take care of their health for the betterment of the human spirit and society at large.

Later, some light refreshments were distributed to the children, which was sponsored by No. 2 DGAS NCC.
