                  61st Annual Day Celebrations

The Air Force School, Subroto Park celebrated its 61st Annual Day on 29 November 2016. It was a memorable moment as the school commemorated its journey of 61 years, marking the stupendous celebration.

The Chief Guest, Air Marshal SB DEO PVSM AVSM VM VSM ADC, Air Officer Commanding In Chief of the Western Air Command, expressed his appreciation of the flawless event titled, “Samaavartan-The Magic of joyful giving”.  He remarked that today’s generation was blessed with competence, confidence and creativity- the hallmarks of success. He urged the students to dream on and think big.

Mrs Anjna Deo, gave away the prizes to the students of classes XI and XII for academic and co-curricular achievements.

The highlights of the evening were several. The melodious tunes played by the school band to welcome the guests enthralled them. The art and sculpture exhibition, titled “NavToolika”, resonated the message of “Samaavartan- The Magic of Joyful giving”.

Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and charm and gaiety to life and to everything. This was translated into reality by the instrumentalists of TAFS through their mellifluous composition titled the “Samanvay” by the flawless interweaving of several musical instruments. The junior school left everybody enthralled by their graceful dance movements during the welcome dance, “Atishayam” which relived the virtue of team spirit which comes naturally to them, depicting the various shades of childhood.

The choral cadences titled “Anuchintan” gave the message that the smallest act of caring, has the potential to turn a life around.

The most spectacular event of the evening was the theatrical presentation dance drama celebrating a soul stirring message, the beauty of being a philanthrope, a panoramic view of the myriad of ways in which we can touch upon the lives of people and transform the world for a better tomorrow! Through soul stirring dialogues, powerful poetry, music and dance, children created mesmerizing designs replete with powerful messages on stage.

In her address, the Principal, Mrs. Amita Gupta, welcoming the Chief Guest and other esteemed guests, laid out the philosophy of the school. She said, “Our prime motto is to instil in our pupils the will to serve the nation and society while attaining personal enrichment.” Ma’am further said that this year’s celebration has a much broader concept- Samavartan is the real meaningful education, the architecture of soul, that we aim to impart to our young boys and girls ,to transform them into something far finer, into a selfless human being which links them all to humanity.

The evening ended with Vote of Thanks presented by the Vice Principal, Mrs. Lomina Rajiv, followed by the National Anthem.
