Dreams are the normal part of sleep. In fact, several cycles of dream occur during a single night’s sleep. Dreams can come anytime during sleep but the stage is known as Rapid Eye Movement (REM).

REM produces most dreams. If one is awakened during REM sleep, then dreams can usually be vividly recalled. And yet there is no definite theory to explain why we dream. According to one theory, dreams are an extension of daytime consciousness. It is a process in which ideas, feelings and mental impression observed from a variety of sources during our waking hours are sorted out. According to SIGMUD FREUD : Some dreams are a form of wish fulfillment closely related to deep emotional reaction of infancy. They reveal a person’s repressed feelings and thoughts, often in a disguised form.

Human beings have ceased to exist in the real world. We are witnesses to a revolution where the virtual world is invading each & every sphere of our life. Internet, social – networking sites, gaming have made television redundant. Virtual world is the new reality.

The majority of consumers of this virtual world are children & young adults. Parents, mentors & teachers disapprove of this trend & list out the disadvantages of computer games. They believe such games have a negative impact on the health because they encourage a sedentary life style. Children who spend too much time on these games become detached from reality. They waste precious time & it reduces their peers & friends. They are dissociated from the real world & it affects their psychological balance. It’s not healthy for one’s mental & physical growth. It can also become an addiction.

These are some serious concerns. However, one cannot overlook the fact that technology is part & parcel of our lives now. One cannot escape it. With the advance in technology, there is a parallel shift & change in the lifestyles of people.. Parents & teachers should regulate the hours  a child spends on a computer. They should encourage group activities & outdoor sports too. It can bring other worlds, other periods alive & impart valuable knowledge,

It can sharpen the reflexes of a child. Virtual games are indeed the reality.

With bundles of pains and secrets inside.

Fearful to show what we think in our minds.  

Where freedom of speech is just what we say

But the rich and the powerful getting their way

In today’s world goodness is hard to come by
