The Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony for classes VI-VIII was held in the Air Force Auditorium on Saturday, May 4, 2013. Mrs Deepika Thapar Singh, Principal, The Air Force School welcomed the chief guest, Ms Aditi Misra, Principal, DPS, Gurgaon, the parents and laid stress on the joint efforts put in by them along with the teachers for the continuous improvement of the students for the overall development. Ms Aditi Misra, Principal, DPS Gurgaon was the guest of honour. She appreciated the efforts of the students and motivated them to keep the good work. 45 meritorious students from classes VI-VIII received the trophies for securing CGPA 10. The programme started with lighting of the lamp by the esteemed guests, followed by a short cultural programme which included a group song and a folk dance. The programme ended with the mellifluous rendition of the Air Force Schools’ Song.

A student’s imagination finds no limit when she/ he initiate a thought. To provide them a platform to achieve the everlasting expression, “SCIENCE CLUB” organised a poster making competition for the students of class VIII^th and IX^th on the topic-

                                                CHEMISTRY: BLACK OR WHITE

Two students from each section, making a total of twenty, participated in the competition. A powerful imagination emerged with array of colours and a collection lovely posters was produced. Each poster displayed fantastic coverage of black and white faces of chemistry. It was an enriching event for learners.
