Mathematics and Science Workshop

A workshop was organized on “How to Prepare for Subjective Answers of Mathematics and Science Examination”. It was held on 28th September. The session was attended by the interested students of grade X.

Mr. Inder Singh was the key speaker of the event. He is the zonal academic head of Byju’s center. He guided students about the way to attempt different types of questions. Next, he discussed common errors that the students make while attempting the questions. Additionally, he suggested some do’s and don’ts of writing answers. At last he took queries from students and helped them to understand the subjective paper. 

It was an informative session and students learned about the way to approach the subjective questions.

    JEE and NEET Entrance Examination Workshop

     JEE and NEET Entrance Examination Workshop

    A workshop was organised on “How to Prepare for JEE and NEET Entrance Examination”. It was held on 28th September for science stream students of grades XI & XII.

    Ms NidhiPanwar was the key speaker of the event. She is the assistant director of Aakash -Byjus team.She started the session by informing the students about the criteria JEE and NEET examination. She gave a detailed idea of the exam pattern, types of questions and its difficulty level. Then some different methods of learning were shared and students were encouraged to not to use rote learning. 

    Also some practical tips were shared withstudents on how they can manage the preparation of competitive exams along with their regular school .Children actively participated in the workshop and their queries were addressed by the speaker.

    Overall, it was an interactive and an elucidative session.

      Career Guidance Workshop

      Career Guidance  Workshop 

      A workshop on JEE and NEET Foundation course  was organized on 27th September. All the students of grades IXth and Xth attended the session. The workshop was held in two batches. The objective of the session was to apprise the students about careers in Engineering and Medical field.

      The key speaker of the event was Ms. Nidhi Panvar. She is the assistant director of Akash Byju’s. She has mentored students on various career opportunities in Humanities, Commerce, Management and the Defense.

       The session started byexplaining Medical and Engineering disciplines. Then she briefed the students about JEE and NEET entrance examination. Additionally, detailed instructions on how to study for preparatory examinations while managing regular school was discussed .Further she shared practical tips with students on how to build their memory and concentration. 

      Overall, it was an informative session and students learned about Engineering and Medical entrance examinations.

          INVESTITURE CEREMONY - JUNIOR SCHOOL (2022-23)

          The Junior Wing of The Air Force School celebrated Investiture Ceremony for the session 2022-2023 on 28 Sep 2022 in the presence of guests, Principal, parents and students. The programme commenced with the junior choir rendering auspicious shlokas to invoke blessings of the divine as the Chief Guest, Gp. Capt. Manisha Rajput, Group Captain, Schools, Wg. Cdr. Manoj Kumar Yadav, Executive Director, TAFS and Mrs. Amita Gupta, Principal lit the ceremonial lamp. The Chief Guest was presented with a painting and a sapling by our students, expressing our love and gratitude. The guests, parents and students were welcomed by the Headmistress, Ms. Deepa Radhakrishnan.  

          The emcees for the programme, Anaya Ahmed and Emira Khan, students of Class 4-A,  held the strings to a smooth transition of events. A pride-evoking song partly composed by our music teacher, Dr. Parminder Singh, was delivered by the little songbirds of our school, emphasising the beauty of nature and inspiring us to play a greater role in the development of our nation, bringing forth the spirit of the occasion. This was followed by a beautiful fusion dance, an interflow between Bharatanatyam and Western dance, performed gracefully by the students of classes 3, 4 and 5. They enthralled the audience with their nimble footwork and agile use of props.

          The newly formed Student Council was introduced to the gathering and Gp. Capt. Manisha Rajput administered the oath of appointment to the newly elected Council members. After congratulating each one of them, in her address to the new Council, Gp. Capt. Rajput appreciated the efforts made by all the stake holders and complimented the tenacity of all involved. She reiterated the values of leadership and encouraged the appointees to uphold their positions with utmost passion and sincerity. She also stressed upon the need to focus on self-care and regular exercise to live a wholesome life.

          The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem.

            Workshop: Peak Performance

            Workshop on peak performance was hosted by Dr. Vijay Vikas at The Air Force School on 14 September 22, for senior wing teachers.

            Session began with the welcome speech for the guest speaker Dr. Vijay Vikas, who is a PGT commerce teacher and student’s trainer. He holds the experience of 25 years of teaching accountancy. He is the author of many accountancy and business studies books. He is also a master Neurolinguistics psychology. 

            Dr. Vikas Vijay initiated the discussion by addressing the various reasons why students struggle academically and suggested the four pillars which are: potential, action, belief, and results as a way to enhance performance. He stated that the most significant factor affecting one's productivity is their belief system. He encouraged teachers to act as the motivator in their students' life, to develop  and enhance their self-perception. He also said that the key to success in life is to maintain positive body language, pay focus on the positive aspects of life, and be introspective. Session was followed by  Self-awareness exercises, an activity to confront self-limiting beliefs, and an activity to reflect on the process of becoming a teacher. At last, a short movie clip was played to motivate teachers to continue to be the guiding angles for students and question and answer round was conducted. Overall, it was motivating, informative and an interactive session for teachers.

            Feedback of the workshop

            The workshop on 'peak performance mastery' was very enlightening and informative. Dr. Vikas Vijay explained the importance of being insightful and creating interest in the teaching learning process, which play a significant  role in the life of a student. He  very interestingly  explains the importance of Believe system and to be focused in achieving goals.He also mentioned  that a teacher should have a quality of being compassionate supporting and motivational  for all her students.Overall, the workshop was full of fun and very beneficial for all the teachers.  Looking forward for more such informative and enriching workshops.

              Workshop: RPWD ACT and Inclusive Education

              Workshop on RPWD Act and Inclusive education was conducted at The Air Force School on 13 Sept. 22,  by Ms. Sandra Antony, the special educator. All the teacher of senior wing attended the workshop.

              It was an in detail and informative workshop on Sensitization of students, Inclusion in the classroom & how to deal with behavioral and disruptive challenges when it came to children with special needs. The teachers discussed the challenges faced by them and how Individual education plans can be used to maximize the teaching learning process.
