6. It was an excellent  and enlightening  discussion  about plastics.

Some points were said in favour and some points about the drawbacks  of plastics.

My personal  views about plastics is that plastic   use should be reduced to minimum as they are non biodegradable,  they contaminate the soil , burning of plastics  generate   extremely  toxic fumes polluting the air we breath. Even I am aware of a case where an innocent cow which swallowed  some food wrapped in a polythene  bag   got choked to death.

Nevertheless, We should use plastic items which have a recyclable logo. and try to segregate the plastic wastes from other biodegradable wastes. We should not litter plastics.

      Thank you

7. YES TO PLASTIC, NO TO LITTERING

The webinar was quite delightful. The zeal and energy of Mr. Sumedh Habbu seem to have no bound.to be a part of this webinar was my fortunate.

Sumedh Sir explained the topic very beautifully with his colourful slides. The webinar gave me the idea that how plastic is important in our daily life. Versatile plastic inspires innovations that help make our life better, healthier and safer everyday. Plastic is boon to us but due to our littering and myths it has become bane . Sir also threw some light on its history, timeline of materials, material footprint and many more. The experience was stunning and outstanding. Looking forward to attend more such astonishing webinars in order to use the virtual platform effectively.

8. It was my pleasure to attend the webinar. They explained a lot about plastics. The word plastic is derived from the Greek word "Plastikos" meaning capable of being shaped or molded. Thermoplastic covers 90% of plastics whereas the rest (10%) is covered by Thermosets. Plastics are versatile, used to make healthcare, automobile, electrical, etc. products. They showed the reality of plastics and the myths  about it... There was more in the webinar. Wonderful presentation...

UKG MANGO PARTY AND YELLOW DAY

UKG MANGO PARTY AND YELLOW DAY - (22 June 2021)

Mango, the king of fruits, yellow, sumptuous, pulpy & amazing in taste is one of the most favourite fruits for children.  Yellow Day was celebrated in an virtual Mango party organised  for our kindergartners on 22 June 2021, during their online classes.

The party began with a discussion about mangoes, their varieties and their medicinal properties through interesting videos and images. The children looked cute and in a party mode in their vibrant yellow and green outfits.

The general conversation on the king of fruits- mango was followed by rhymes and singing session which kids enjoyed thoroughly. They also learned about the  nutrients a mango offers like Vitamin A & C and how it boosts our digestive system and prevents us from getting a heat stroke. They happily shared information about the various forms like mango shake , mango pudding , homemade mango juice, ice creams etc in which mangoes are consumed. The teachers laid a special emphasis on avoiding ready made products from the market which are fully loaded with preservatives and sugar.

The children really enjoyed relishing yummy  mangoes, cut and served to them, with immense pleasure in their hearts. This event, that they shared with their class mates and teachers, will be cherished in their little hearts and minds for a long time.

To live through this lockdown & pandemic period, yoga is the best thing to adopt as a lifestyle habit. It helps us build a strong physical, mental and spiritual health system. When combined with breathing and meditation, it acts as the best element to take care of our mind, body and soul. Isha foundation had organized webinar on “Yoga for Immunity, Respiratory Health & Emotional Wellbeing” for the school students on 31st May 2021 through virtual platform. More than three hundred students along with teachers had joined for the webinar. The main focus of this webinar was to inform children about how to boost immunity, enhance lung capacity to support your respiratory system, and enhance emotional wellbeing. Children learned simple practices to increase Oxygen levels, received health tips and home remedies to improve immunity and experience enhanced levels of mental and emotional wellbeing. It was very interesting and informative session.
