TIGERS DAY CELEBRATION (Grade UKG & 1)- 29 July 2022
We too are living beings! Tigers are one of the species that are nearing extinction. Therefore, to spread awareness on tiger conservation, International Tiger Day or Global Tiger Day is celebrated on July 29. It is a way to spread awareness about this magnificent but endangered big cat. The tiger day celebration at TAFS aimed to sensitize students about the critical need to protect tigers. On this occasion, the students of UKG made a tiger with their hand prints dipped in orange and black colour. Children felt the cool, squishy texture of the paint and experimented with colours and patterns, thereby enhancing their creativity and developed fine motor skills too by strengthening finger and hand muscles. All the students were very excited and actively participated in the hand print activity.
The children of grade 1 also enthusiastically participated in the tigers day celebration. They brought their toy tigers and confidently recited the poem on tigers day. They made beautiful arm bands with tiger pic on it which they had stuck and coloured. Coloring and drawing improves fine motor skills, encourages focus, and nurtures creativity. Our talented children really enjoyed and were actively involved during the entire process of band making which they later happily displayed on their arms.
The main aim of this celebration was to make our future generation aware and more responsible for animals and to be kind towards them.
