Virtual Khel Utsav 2021- Junior School
Tommy Lasorda, American baseball player, now a coach said, ‘’The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a person’s determination.’’
To us at TAFS, that is Adhishtthan (clwi7fg), from the Buddhist language of Pali (kfnL) which translates our resolution- the tenacity wins!
According to Buddhism, Adhishtthan is one's resolve to become fully awakened and aware. So we are!
Just like Buddha, Gandhi, Kalam, Tendulkar or any other self-driven individual achiever, we too are on the path of survival, with determination to live to the best of our ability, doing what we are capable of, and in the process, learning to be a little more perfect with each challenge put before us.
As time goes on and we continue adapting to the ever changing situation, we presented again, on 11 December 2021, the second virtual sports day, our Khel Utsav, with more innovation and determination. We call it Adhishtthan, our determination, to continue, not give up, to build strength and courage, and have faith, hope and patience for better times ahead. We at TAFS believe we are extraordinary enough to be doing things the way we do.
So here we go again, with all our pride, bringing to you our Adhishtthan, the virtual Khel Utsav, with 100% participation, each class performing interesting feats with incredible determination.
Our tiny tots of Class UKG, are The Unicorns, magical and mystical in pink and black costumes. Don’t miss the headgear.
The busy buzzing Bumble Bees of Class 1 in yellow and black created a flurry of activity.
Class 2 showed us how jawsome and joyful these little Sharks can be in their bright blue costumes and white mittens.
Class 3 took everyone on a spin with their Swish and Swash Ribbon Dance and made us sway to the beats.
Class 4 showed us that Sun or Rain, We Dance Again with their colourful Umbrella Dance.
As smart as smart can be, Class 5 did the Backpack Dance- Backpacking our way, Onward we go!
Again the costumes and accessories were resourcefully planned and the props were all made at home with help from parents and guided by the art and craft teachers.
A video recording of well practiced individual sports activities was sent by each child to their Class Teacher. These activities achieved the objective of regular physical exercise and active health of body and mind.
Addressing the parents and students on this occasion, Principal ma’am lauded the efforts of all involved in creating another successful achievement. Ma’am emphasized the true meaning of Addhishtthan and urged everyone to imbibe the tenacity to win, whatever be the challenge.
