ORIGAMI ACTIVITIES- CLASSES UKG-2 (25-29 OCT. 2021)
“Origami is a metamorphic art form, you got that piece of paper, you don’t add to it you don’t take away from it, you CHANGE it.”
–Micheal Lafosse
We at TAFS continuously integrate activities that stimulate holistic learning. Origami is one art form which helps this objective greatly.
TAFS Junior wing too organized origami activities for the students of classes UKG to 2 from 25 Oct – 29 Oct. 2021. Our little TAFSians revealed both the artists and the engineers within them through this folding activity!
Class UKG made colourful Origami paper fish. Kids had lots of fun folding this easy origami fish and drawing in its eyes.
Class 1 enjoyed the activity “My faithful Dog”. They made the dog with floppy ears and loved making its eyes and mouth using sketch pens.
Class 2 kids made a splash and had a whale of time making these adorable Origami whales and also learnt few facts about them.
Origami provided our little ones with wonderful “schematic learning through repeatable actions”. As the teachers demonstrated, children watched closely and listened carefully to the specific instructions and then carried them with originality, neatness and accuracy.
The paper folding craft was not only a fun filled experience, but it also proved to be a valuable means to develop artistic skills in the young ones.
A lot of learning had happened just by doing!
