    UKG Parent’s Day

    UKG Parent’s Day – 4th March 2023

    The students of class UKG celebrated Parent’s Day, an Annual Cultural Bonanza on 4th March 2023 in the Aravali Hall. The dance drama titled ‘The Toy Carnival’ was a beautiful depiction of Modern Era’s biggest challenge- over dependence on electronic gadgets.

    The show saw the participation of all children of class UKG. Dressed in bright colourful costumes they danced merrily to numerous peppy tracks like “You can stop” , “When I was young”, “Hey Baby! let’s rock and roll”. The gay abundance with which they performed on the stage enthralled the audience.

    Dressed in bright costumes, the children sailed through the scenes with utmost energy and enthusiasm, making the audience too sway to the beats of peppy tracks while they danced with precise movements perfected by plenty of practice.

    The show also covered the most relevant issue which is influencing our day to day life- over dependence on electronic gadgets.

    Playing is essential for the development of a child as it contributes to the cognitive, physical, social and emotional well being of children. Despite the benefits derived from playing the time for free play has been significantly reduced.

    To make their journey of learning memorable and full of joy, fun and laughter the event ended with a beautiful message with kids taking an oath to follow a healthy lifestyle. They promised to limit the use of gadgets and will devote more time to playing out in the ground or parks with their friends.

    The Chief guest of the occasion Wg Cdr Manoj Yadav, ED TAFS, congratulated the students for the enthralling performance presented by them and urged the parents to be good role models to their little ones.

    Mrs. Amita Gupta, the principal congratulated the kindergarteners and the teachers for the wonderful show put up by them.

        “Those who tell the stories rule the world”.

        Storytelling has always been a teaching strategy in the classroom. Everyone loves a good story and what better way to learn than through a story.So,on 28th Feb 2023, aHindi Story Telling Session which was organized by the National Book Trust at the Children’s Pavilion,World Book Fair in Pragati Maidan, was attended by thirty students of class V and three teachers of the junior wing.

        The forty-five minutes session, was conducted by the famous author, educator and story teller Ms. Usha Chhabra, in her unique style which had the audience hanging on to every word. She acted out the stories in such a delightful manner that the lessons behind it, will forever remain etched in the audience’s memory.

        This was followed by a quiz in which several schools participated and our school team won the second prize. All the participants were given certificates. The students were left star struck at the huge layout of the World Book fair where publishers from across the globe were displaying their books.

        It was an indeed an enriching experience for all the attendees.
