EARTH DAY CELEBRATIONS- CLASSES I-V (22 APRIL 2020)
TAFS Junior Wing for the first time
celebrated Digital Earth Day on 22nd April 2020, as an indoors awareness
activity. We celebrated the 50th anniversary of Earth Day by participating in
varied activities.
The students of classes I-III did an art
and craft activity followed by a writing exercise on the little promises they
made on this special occasion. Each
child penned down a promise that they
made to mother Earth for their better future. They also learnt and sang a few
songs on earth, conservation and natural resources.
Children of classes IV & V made
posters, wrote slogans and sang songs and poems to create awareness among their
family members. They also tried to connect with their extended family and
friends over electronic media to make their point in the significance of
conservation of earth.
Parents were requested to talk to their
children about the importance and purpose of this day, that the Earth day
reminds us of the important role we need to play in taking care of our planet
whether it is planting more trees, recycling or repurposing. Children were also
made aware about how our Earth has started healing in the absence of human
influence on environment due to virus related restrictions these days.
