                      GOOD LUCK PARTY-CLASS V

                      (15 March, 2021)

As another academic year draws to an end, it is that time of the year when we host a Good Luck  Party to send off our  senior most children of Class V. This year has been most unusual in every possible way and the regular schooling was deeply impacted by the pandemic. But in every crisis lies an opportunity and we discovered online education to continue with uninterrupted learning of our students. Class V students were most supportive and took on to online education like fish takes to water. This disrupted year is almost over and there are many memories we made with our students albeit online. As they gear up to proceed to Class VI, Junior School organised an online fun and games session to extend our best wishes to them for their future endeavours.

Invites were sent to all the students individually with titles. They made badges of the same and wore them on the Good Luck Party Day. Colour codes were decided for each section to be worn on the party day. They were requested to prepare a party plate of snacks to munch on during the session. Then started the fun games. Two games ‘The Queen of Sheba’ and ‘The Spies in Disguise’ were played with much enthusiasm. Some children even prepared  some programmes and tributes for their teachers. The day ended on a happy, joyful and a hopeful note with children bidding farewell to their beloved Junior Wing.

UKG PARENTS DAY- 13 MARCH 2021
The tiny Tafsians celebrated parents day “Udaan -Wings of dreams” on 13th of March 2021 to mark the end of a very unique academic session of 2020-21.The program started with a short prayer. It was followed by the welcome address by Ms Deepa R Krishnan, the Headmistress, who appreciated the efforts put in by the children, parents and teachers in celebrating the talent and enthusiasm of the children by channelizing their energies into observation and creation. This program was curated in such a way that each child got a chance to brush on their oratory skills and showcase their fine motor skills through dancing.

Children commenced the program by sharing their experiences during lockdown and how this year was different from usual times. These young Tafsians were very well able to express and appreciate the quality time spent with their parents during pandemic year.
Children through their passionate description took us to their dreamworld in which they enjoyed staying at home while dreaming about Jungle safari, dressed as different animals their cute dance moves stole our hearts. They also enjoyed their dream summer dance party in Hawaii in colourful flowery dresses and hats and even we could feel the happiness all around. They enjoyed showing us fascinating aerobics moves to keep ourselves fit and talked about the importance of health for times like these. It was so much fun to watch the finale dance party.
The program concluded with the kind and inspiring words of Ms Amita Gupta, the Principal and the guest of honour, who took this opportunity to thank the parents for all their efforts in making this function a success. She called these kindergartners 'Small Wonders' and appreciated them for participating in the virtual show with so much of fun and enthusiasm.

                              Class V English Debate Activity

                               27 Feb- 01 March, 2021

A quote goes,’If everyone is thinking alike then somebody isn’t thinking’. Celebrating the divergence of views is the purpose of any debate. An English Debate Activity was conducted during online classes on Teams, from 27 Feb to 01 March 2021.The little Tafsians of Class V put forth their views, passionately  and convincingly, in the English Debate Activity on the topic, 'Virtual classes are better than real classes'. Some shone through their oratory skills, and some through the power of a good argument.

A few debators opined that the virtual classes are better because it liberates education from the confines of the classrooms and makes it easily accessible to the students living even in the remote areas while the others felt that traditional education enhances the social and the psychological skills of the students.Everyone participated with great enthusiasm. We hope and wish that many of them would grow up to hone their debating skills and be able to present both sides of the argument eloquently.
