6. It was an excellent and enlightening discussion about plastics.
Some points were said in favour and some points about the drawbacks of plastics.
My personal views about plastics is that plastic use should be reduced to minimum as they are non biodegradable, they contaminate the soil , burning of plastics generate extremely toxic fumes polluting the air we breath. Even I am aware of a case where an innocent cow which swallowed some food wrapped in a polythene bag got choked to death.
Nevertheless, We should use plastic items which have a recyclable logo. and try to segregate the plastic wastes from other biodegradable wastes. We should not litter plastics.
Thank you

8. It was my pleasure to attend the webinar. They explained a lot about plastics. The word plastic is derived from the Greek word "Plastikos" meaning capable of being shaped or molded. Thermoplastic covers 90% of plastics whereas the rest (10%) is covered by Thermosets. Plastics are versatile, used to make healthcare, automobile, electrical, etc. products. They showed the reality of plastics and the myths about it... There was more in the webinar. Wonderful presentation...
