UKG COSTUME PARADE -  29 SEP 2016

Kids love toys and these are the tools they use at play. The little angels of TAFS, kindergarten had a fun filled day on the occasion of ‘Costume Parade Activity’ conducted on 29 Sep 2016. The interesting theme ‘Favourite Toys’ made the occasion more exciting.

It was truly a delight to watch the children characterize themselves as their favourite toys, and speak a few lines confidently holding beautiful and innovative props. They projected themselves as racing cars, puzzles, Barbie dolls, trains, airplanes and a variety of cartoon characters. The activity also helped the children to develop confidence, hone their speaking skills and understand the importance of playing with safe toys. Later during the circle time the discussion was about playing outdoor games regularly to keep themselves healthy and the value of sharing toys with others.

CIRCULAR TO PARENTS

Dear Parents, 

1.       Thank you very much for sending the consent form in respect of your ward for witnessing the Full Dress Rehearsal of Air Force Day Parade on Wednesday, 05 Oct 2016. 

2.       You are requested to drop your ward at the Main Gate of the school on 05 Oct 2016 by 0500 hrs (Repeat) 0500 hrs as the buses will leave from the school at 0515 hrs sharp. 

3.     Please note the following:- 

(a)            Students are required to come in proper summer uniform (Jeans pants are not permitted) along with their identity card 

(b)            Camera, Mobile Phone, eatables are not permitted 

(c)             Students are permitted to carry only water bottle 

(d)            The school has made arrangement for light refreshment

HINDI RECITATION COMPETITION CLASS – II  (15 SEP 2016)

The budding poets of Class II enthusiastically participated in the Hindi ‘HASYA KAVITA’ Competition on 15 Sep 2016.The children recited various humorous poems which kept the audience in splits. The confidence, expression and clarity with which the little ones recited the poems were praiseworthy. Their extremely amusing and rib tickling presentations were applauded by the audience and appreciated by their teachers.

CLASS II - MS-PAINT COMPETITION

An MS Paint Competition was organized for the students of class II from 5^th September to 9^th September 2016 on the topic: ‘Birthday Card’.

The students showed great creativity and came up with excellent ‘Birthday Card’ ideas. They incorporated many facets of the topic and made it attractive through vivid color combinations.  The use of different features of MS Paint like- shapes, Brushes, Text etc and the presentation of each topic was greatly commendable.

DK QUIZ REPORT

DK Quiz was organized on 6^th September 2016 in the Activity Hall at TAFS for students of classes VII to IX. More than 100 students participated in the grand event. It was well organized and the students were exposed to large variety of questions. It was a great eye opener event. Such events equip students with general knowledge. Two students PAHUL SINGH of CLASS IX B and BHASKAR of CLASS IX B were selected for the STATE LEVEL FINAL ROUND which is to be conducted in the month of NOVEMBER 2016.

Teachers’ Day: 05 Sept 2016

Students of TAFS celebrated ‘Teachers’ Day’ in a manner which depicted their love and respect for their teachers.

The day started with a special assembly which was conducted by students for the teachers. Class XI students presented a wonderful cultural programme and felicitated each and every teacher with a card and a Title.

After the departure of students at 11.45 am, Teachers celebrated the day in a unique manner by presenting Dance and Musical melody. There after they were served a Lavish Lunch and a token gift by PTA.

The day was enriched with fun, energy, memories, gratitude ……… a wonderful day.

Circular for Parents- Heritage Walks for Students of Classes III, IV and V

Dear Parents,                                                                              

Outdoor and experiential learning has always been a part of our curriculum. We understand the significance of including museums and monuments as rich sources of learning about our heritage and traditions. Keeping this in mind we have planned Heritage Walks for our children of classes III to V during school hours.  The aim of this programme is to create awareness about our rich cultural heritage and history. The class teachers will accompany the students during these heritage walks.

·       The details of the programme are as follows-

·       Orientation sessions – An orientation session for each class will be conducted by the teachers in the classes prior to the visit. The visit will be followed by an interactive discussion in school the next day where the children will share interesting insights and their experiences. 

·       For the visit - Your child should come to school in proper school uniform and should carry the I–card. She/he should bring a small bag with the school diary/notebook, a pen/pencil, tiffin and water bottle. The children will be accompanied by their class teachers in the school transport. 

·       Consent form - Kindly fill in the consent form, which will be given to your child, and submit to the class teacher, latest by 13 Sep 2016.

CLASS III HINDI POEM RECITATION COMPETITION- 06 SEP 2016

Hindi poem recitation competition for class III was held on 6^th September’16 in the Junior school hall. The participants recited poems with great enthusiasm and zeal .The poems were chosen on varied topics  like ‘maa –shabd kuch kam hai’, classics like ‘Kadamb  ka ped’ ,humourous poems like ‘Pariksha’ and some contemporary themed poems like ‘Bettiyan’ stole the heart of the judges. These young Tafsians recited their poem with correct expression and clear diction.

Their confidence and amazing presentation impressed not only the judges but also the audience. The result is as follows:

English Recitation Competition Class- IV (02 Sep 2016)

An English Poem Recitation Competition was organized for class IV on 02 Sep 2016, in the school hall. The theme for this activity was ‘At School’.  The participants showed great enthusiasm and zeal in this event and recited their chosen poems with confidence.  Many of those poems got the students thinking about their teachers and the effort they put in at school for the overall growth of their students. The presentation of the poems impressed the judges as well as the audience.

The Consumers’ Conclave 2016

To involve the students in the consumer movement, An Inter School Competition on consumer awareness was jointly organized by the Gen X consumer club and the Hindi Department of The Air Force School on Friday, 02 Sept 2016. The competition included three events, Poster Making-Creative Endeavours , Hasya Kavita-Haas Parihaas & Nukkad Natak -Jagriti in which 7  leading schools of Delhi participated.

The objective of the competition was to involve school students in the consumer movement & create awareness among the areas of consumer rights, duties & responsibilities of consumer. It was an effort to make students understand the role & importance of consumer protection & motivate them to come forward to give an outreach to the consumer movement.

The program started with a floral welcome to the Chief Guest & the Judges followed by lighting of the lamp. The Chief Guest for the function was Dr Prem lata, retired Judge Consumer Court. The other dignities who graced the occasion are Dr. Mamta Pathania , Mr. Raj Kumar Gaur, Mr. Siddharth Rathore, Mr. Amit Kumar Singh, Prof. Sheela Reddy. The panel of judges evaluated the performance and the results are as follows:

The students of class – V participated in a Hindi Poem Recitation Competition on 01 Sep 2016. The theme of the competition was ‘Hasya Kavita’.
