G20 Summit 2023- A step ahead- TAFS Junior Wing

G20 Summit 2023- A step ahead- TAFS Junior Wing (08-12 May 2023)

The awareness week with various activities on G-20 held in February 2023 created a lot of curiosity amongst children as they became aware of the theme, the importance of India’s presidency and the magnitude of events to be held in various cities of India this year as part of G-20 summit.

In continuance with the effort, TAFS Junior Wing planned and conducted a few more engaging and informative activities between 08- 12 May 2023.

  • All the sections of classes 2, 3, 4 and 5 made a G20 corner in the classroom, where they displayed information with pictures about any one of the G20 countries of their choice. It was a collective effort which proved to be enlightening as children learnt new facts about certain countries with regard to their culture, geography and history.
  • A paragraph writing activity was conducted for class 3 students where in the topic was “Fun Facts” of any one of the G20 countries.
  • Class 4 students did an activity of drawing the national costumes of any one of the G20 countries on an A4 size sheet.

The children greatly enjoyed and participated in each of these activities.

UKG LEMONADE PARTY (11 MAY 2023)

With the onset of summers it’s essential to refresh & replenish our body with some cool beverages. To beat the rising heat a lemonade party was organised for our youngest TAFSians on 11th May ‘23..The kids enjoyed the lip smacking lemonade with great zest. The little munchkins had a great time watching the teacher preparing lemonade with by squeezing fresh lime juice, a pinch of salt & little sugar to the glass of water. They enjoyed mixing & stirring all the ingredients with their tiny hands. One could sense the excitement around and their sparkling eyes were worth watching as the delicious lemonade tickled their taste buds on sipping it up. The activity gave our young learners a hands on experience of making a glass of lemonade & they relished every bit of it. They also enjoyed colouring the pictures of lemon.

It was a fun learning experience for our kindergarteners.

International Worker’s Day or Labour Day, as it’s called was celebrated with much joy and enthusiasm at TAFS on May 01, 2023. The celebrations saw the entire Support Staff of TAFS being shown immense gratitude with a special programme presented by the students of Class VI. The programme began with Principal Ma’am’s address which was followed by a plethora of performances in the form of a poem, Street Play, group song, a visual presentation, etc. Cards made by the students of Class VI were distributed among the support staff in order to thank them for all that they do for us. A few of them even shared their views and feelings about how the children had made their day. The programme ended with the Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem. All in all it was an important day which made the ‘Bhaiyas and Didis’ of our school really happy.
