The Air Force School acknowledged the diligence and perseverance of meritorious students in the form of the Prize Distribution Ceremony for Classes IX to XII, for the session 2022-23. The function was held on 7October 2023, in the Aravalli Hall.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of our Chief Guest, Gp Capt Maneesha Rajput, Gp Capt Edn, and our Guest of Honour, Gp Capt PK Rajput, CLW CSDO. The other respected guests included the parents and well-wishers of the prize winners. Their company added prestige to the event.
As a token of our respect and gratitude, Gp Capt Maneesha Rajput was presented a painting created by the students. It was a metaphor for dignity and grace. Gp Capt PK Rajput was presented a warm thanks in the form of a potted plant, that was symbolic of wisdom and valour.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. This illustrated the dispelling of darkness and the pursuit of knowledge. In her welcome address, our Principal, Mrs. Amita Gupta, congratulated the achievers on their extraordinary talent and relentless commitment to reach new heights. She guided the students to be the agents of positive change in the community and to be kind and empathetic.
The cultural programme consisted of a stirring performance by the school choir, called Anunaad. Through their rendition, they relayed the ever- relevant message of working towards one’s goals with determination and focus. An engaging and dynamic dance dialogue in the kathak form, a jugalbandi, was performed next. It was called Rasaanjali- an Emotional Offering. These performances were met with thunderous applause from the audience.
The highlight of the morning was recognizing and celebrating the outstanding feats of our students. They were awarded prizes for various categories, including academic excellence, cultural accomplishments, and co-curricular achievements. Our Chief Guest and our Guest of Honour gave away the prizes and blessed the students.
When Gp Capt Maneesha Rajput addressed the gathering, she reiterated that we should take charge of our lives, and always aspire to succeed. She encouraged students to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. Her words resonated with the entire audience.
The ceremony ended with the Vote of Thanks, delivered by our Vice Principal, Mrs. Lomina Rajiv. She expressed her gratitude to the dignitaries, the parents, and the audience for their valued presence. She also expressed her thanks to the members of the teaching and the support staff, for playing a pivotal role in shaping the programme into becoming a success. The gathering sang the National Anthem, thus marking the close of the ceremony.
This function displayed that at TAFS, we not only celebrate the achievements of our top scholars, but we also acknowledge the efforts and contributions of every person who has been a part of this vibrant academic community. We look forward to witnessing more remarkable achievements in the coming years.
