                        PRIMARY TEACHER’S WORKSHOP

                        PRIMARY TEACHER’S WORKSHOP- 11 SEPTEMBER 2023

A workshop was conducted for the Junior Wing teachers on the topic ‘National Curriculum Framework for school education 2023 at the Aravali hall,TAFS’. The workshop was conducted by Ms Mridul Jain and it was organised by Madhuban Publication House.

Ms Jain started the workshop by explaining the changes in the learning methodologies of the new generation of students. She explained the concept of COSMICC (C- curiosity, O- observations, S-self exploration, M- motivation, I- interest, C- confidence, C- challenges) which if kept in mind would lead to an effective classroom learning. The NCF not only emphasises on different tools of teaching but also on the different forms of Assessments (by students themselves, the teacher, the parents and the peers) which can help the educator find out if the teaching has realised its core objectives. The NCF has broadly defined the vision of education for the society, for the educator and the tools required by the school to realise that vision.

The NCF talks about a 5-step learning process for effective teaching. These are ADITI (Introduction), BODH (conceptual understanding), ABHYAS (practice), PRAYOG (application) and PRASAR (expansion).

It was an effective and important workshop for the teachers as they updated themselves with the changing education goals and how to go about achieving them.

                                                  Van Mahotsav Celebration

                                                  Van Mahotsav Celebration

Van Mahotsav, also known as the "Festival of Trees," aims to promote the importance of trees and forests in our lives and raise awareness about environmental conservation. To celebrate Van Mahotsav school organized special assembly on 31 August 2023 to instill a sense of responsibility towards nature among its students.

The event started with students reciting inspiring poems about nature, trees, and the environment. The poems conveyed the beauty of nature and the urgent need to protect it for future generations.

A thought-provoking skit was performed by students, depicting the consequences of deforestation and the importance of afforestation.

At the end studentsand teachers took a pledge to protect and conserve nature. The pledge highlighted the commitment to planting and nurturing trees, reducing waste, and making sustainable choices in daily life.

One of the main highlights of the celebration was a tree plantation drive, where class VI students, planted a variety of saplings within the school premises.

The Van Mahotsav celebration at school succeeded in raising awareness about the critical role trees and forests play in maintaining a sustainable and healthy planet. The commitment made through the pledge will hopefully translate into real actions that contribute to a greener future.
